Neofita-TIC, a new start
Hello everybody.
When I started writing this blog I did it because , as many other eTwinners , I
felt really alone in my school. I experienced the difficulty to involve
colleagues in the projects I made with European partners. It was sometime much
easier to convince other colleagues from other countries rather than the colleagues of my class!
I decided
to show what can be done with some simple tools what could implement students
motivation and involvement in learning and creating knowledge.
But I’m not
very used to manage a blog and I’m not very “social” I mean, I do not usually go to social media.
I'm not a twitter expert and I often get lost on facebook. I do not like to
make my life public and in my profession I think that what I do is more
important than spending time publicizing it. But I know that the dissemination of good practices is very important and since I strongly believe
that eTwinning can offer the right opportunity to change our teaching and learning approach, I
decided to get back to my old attempt to create a blog and give me this new
goal: use those channels that for me are the most difficult to adapt even my
perception of “social networks”.
After all,
it's been 11 years that I love using one: the eTwinning platform that has given
me and my students so much, personally,
culturally, ethically and professionally. That’s why I decided to pick up again my old blog: to show how the
eTwinning experience has changed my point of view and also my approach toward
self development.
I've always
been curious and I've always wanted to change and update my way of seeing
things. I'm not afraid to question myself and take the risk of looking for new
paths with all them with whom I share the school experience. I believe that one
of the important tasks of us educators is to help our students never lose enthusiasm and curiosity to keep an
open mind. So we'll leave the chatter and start again, with a new difficulty:
use English and not my mother tongue that is Italian or German that I've been
teaching for a long time!
